Some opportunities are too good to pass up. Case in point: the opportunity to sit down with Edward James Olmos as he promotes the DVD and Blu-Ray release of the final new Battlestar Galactica production, The Plan (you can read my review right here). Olmos directed The Plan, which looks at the events of the first two seasons of Battlestar through the eyes of the Cylons.
Olmos doesn’t just appear in The Plan as Admiral Adama, the greatest military man of our times, he also directed the movie. This is certainly not his first time behind the camera – either for features or for Battlestar – but it is likely his most complex work to date, as The Plan not only tells new stories, it weaves in and out of familiar scenes from Battlestar history.
