This would be a pretty run-of-the-mill set of detective movie images — some even looking kind of sub-TV procedural — except that we have Matthew Fox looking like an absolute crazy person in a role that has seen him drop some pounds and pack on the sinewiest of muscle for Alex Cross. Tyler Perry will be moping along as the detective after him, and here he looks… like a dude with a badge. This film will act as an origin story for the Alex Cross character previously played by Morgan Freeman, and now taken over by the de-Madea’d Perry as directed by Rob Cohen.
Of course, as interesting as Matthew Fox looks in this role, let us not forget that at one time this was going to be a David Twohy movie starring Idris Elba. Oh but what could have been.
