Now this is what we needed.
At first, I thought this new trailer for Land of the Dead was pretty much the same as the last one. Then I saw the first chunky headshot. And Asia Argento in lingerie. And copious gunfire. And the mobile deceased gnawing on the delicious raw flesh of the living. And it was delightful.
The best thing is that, unlike most of this summer’s dreadful lineup, it’s okay to actually get excited — I’ve been hearing nothing but good things about George Romero’s fourth foray into bringing the dead back from the grave to dine on human survivors (e.g., it’s the best movie of the year so far). Thank you, Universal!
