What is Tom Arnold’s word worth? This is what you must ask yourself when you read the following quote from the man, taken from the New York Times:
“All I know is Jim Cameron’s making it and Arnold” — Mr. Schwarzenegger
— “and I are going to be in it, and it starts shooting in 14 months,
the day after Arnold stops being governor of California,” he said.
“It’s not going to be called ‘True Lies II,’ but it might as well be. I
can live with that.”
Is that Arnold just fucking around with a guy who is profiling him, is that Arnold just delivering wishful thinking or is that Arnold getting around the publicists and the trades and announcing Cameron’s next project and Arnie’s return to full-time acting?
Honestly, if it’s essentially True Lies II… I couldn’t give less of a shit.
