The Saw films are mystery movies. See, there’s a general consensus of their crappiness and interest seems to be waning, but damned if they don’t make a haul every time. Either everyone’s lying and the films deserve their own Anonymous Guilty Pleasure thread or the films have a Paris Hilton-esque case of shortest backlash half-life ever.
Saw IV is poised to fail or continue its Halloween-time minting business in four months, having wrapped shooting in May. Sadly, with only four months to go, Saw faithful haven’t had a complete cast list or "official" synopsis. Rest easy friends- your day is here.
First, the official synopsis:
Jigsaw and his apprentice Amanda are dead.
Now, upon the news of Detective Kerry’s murder, two seasoned FBI profilers, Agent Strahm and Agent Perez, arrive in the terrified community to assist the veteran Detective Hoffman in sifting through Jigsaw’s latest grizzly remains and piecing together the puzzle.
However, when SWAT Commander Rigg is abducted and thrust into a game, the last officer untouched by Jigsaw has but ninety minutes to overcome a series of demented traps and save an old friend or face the deadly consequences.
I’m not sure if the casting is spoilery or not, but please be warned of the possible introduction of characters you may not know about.
As you know, Tobin Bell reprises his role as Jigsaw through flashbacks and video but get this- he’s got a wife, to be played by Tomboy Betsy Russell. The rest of the cast scream, sweat and howl as follows:
