I’m glad most of all that Human Target got picked up.  That’s been the new show this season that I’ve enjoyed the most.  Mark Valley, Chi McBride and Jackie Earl Hailey all have good chemistry and the show is fun.  It’s got a nice little, and I stress, little mythology working for it.  No big heavy, seasons-long story arc bogging it down.  I just hope it can survive on Fridays.

In other Fox news:

  • Cop drama Ride-Along will be a midseason premiere.
  • As will Steven Spielberg’s and Peter Chernin’s Terra Nova.  Terra Nova” has been ordered to series without a pilot. 24 alums
Brannon Braga and David Fury have been recruited to execute the drama
about a family from the future that escapes a dying Earth through a
portal to prehistoric times. “We got the script and we loved
it,” [Fox Entertainment prez Kevin] Reilly said. “We wanted to put some elements behind it. This thing
is going to be huge and take an enormous production commitment.”
  • Live action comedy, Mixed Signals will also premiere midseason.
  • The animated Bob’s Burgers will assume a spot on Sunday’s animation lineup at midseason.
