Sony Pictures classics is gearing up to release It Might Get Loud, a documentary about a trio of the most famous guitarists of all time jamming together. (I almost wrote “a group of real life guitar heroes!” in that last sentence until I realized I’d have to commit finger seppuku so I could never type again, and then go on to write movie reviews for Maxim.)

Tracking the history of the electric guitar, it shows us a day when three generations of guitarists (Jimmy Page of Led Zeppelin, The Edge from U2, and Jack White from The White Stripes) met up to play together, talk about their experiences and share their styles.

Basically, the movie is porn for guitarists. Davis Guggenheim (An Inconvenient Truth) directed the film, which will showcase a bunch of new music from the three virtuosos.

It Might Get Loud hits theaters on August 14th. Check out the trailer below!
