Usually when we get to visit the set of a movie, we go with a whole gaggle of other websites. It’s fun, because most of the other web people are very cool to hang out with, but what ends up happening is that all the sites have the same content. Look, we know that you don’t just come to CHUD.com every day. You go to a plethora of other websites, and we wouldn’t have it any other way. But it’s a bummer knowing you’ll be seeing the same coverage replicated again and again.
Warner Bros is doing something very cool to combat that. Called The Poseidon Journals, it’s a weekly series, where one website gets an exclusive set visit to see the filming of Poseidon, the remake of The Poseidon Adventure. Every week a different site visits and reports back, giving you a really interesting look inside the making of a major blockbuster event film. And every week one of the sites will have an exclusive interview with someone from the cast and crew. And with a cast that includes Richard Dreyfuss, Kurt Russell, Emmy Rossum, Mike Vogel, Josh Lucas, Mia Maestro, Kevin Dillon, Jacinda Barrett and Andre Braugher, you know everybody is getting someone good.
Plus it looks like everyone is getting some exclusive footage, which is going to be awesome as well.
