Director Marc Foster was supposed to pick up the reigns to the adaptation of Max Brooks’ excellent World War Z, but it seems that he has another project to work on first.
The director of Quantum of Solace told Migros Magazine that he’s set to direct Disconnect first, a thriller that will explore how people live today in this world where technology that brings people closer also drives them further apart.
It’s a bummer for zombie fans, but as he explains to the site (at least according to Babelfish), J. Michael Stracznski’s screenplay is still in-development and “far from realization”.
Hopefully it’ll be ready in time when he’s done with Disconnect.
