We’ve been waiting so long for The Pacific, the follow-up to the amazing Band of Brothers mini-series, that holding tight until 2010 doesn’t seem like such a big deal. At least until you see the new trailer for the series, which has popped up in Quicktime on pacificfans.com. This show looks amazing, and with the CGI advances made since Band of Brothers, I think it’s going to be much bigger than that series.
And more than that, The Pacific is going to be about a theater of WWII that hasn’t been beaten to death in pop culture the way the European Theater has been. This is going to feel fresher and pack more surprises. And as anyone who is familiar with the Pacific Theater knows, will pack more carnage.
