Bradley Cooper (The A-Team) has signed on to an untitled Baseball dramedy from Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps writer, Allan Loeb, for Disney.  The story centers on a baseball player who gets injured and has
to go back to the minors where the only place he can find lodging
is in a senior citizens’ home. There, he meets an old baseball guru
who helps lead him back.  The project is said to be in the vein of
Scent of a Woman” and The RookieLoeb also has recently written Cheaters for Universal and director, Ron Howard, as well as the Escape From New York remake.  Cooper has The Hangover 2 and The Dark Fields with Robert De Niro upcoming.

Brit Matt Lucas, who played Tweedledee and Tweedledum in Alice In Wonderland, has signed onto Bridesmaids for producer Judd Apatow and Universal.  The film stars Kristen Wiig as a maid of honor trying to please the
snobby, rich bridesmaids at every pre-wedding event before her best
friend’s nuptials.
  Wiig and Annie Mumolo wrote the project, which also stars Ellie Kemper,
Jill Clayburgh, Chris O’Dowd (Dinner for
Schmucks
), Melissa McCarthy (The Back-up Plan), Wendi
McLendon-Covey (Reno 911!), Rose Byrne and Maya Rudolph.

Wendy Crewson (The Santa Clause) has joined the cast of Winnie, which stars Terrence Howard and Jennifer Hudson.  Crewson will play activist Mary Botha, who
becomes a social worker in South Africa after witnessing a brutal
police assault on a black youth. After befriending the Mandelas
during the fight against apartheid, Botha is subjected to
phone-tapping, police harassment and house arrest. 
Crewson has most recently been seen on TV shows The Bridge, Flashpoint and The Summit.  She previously had roles in Away From Her, A Home at the End of the World, Air Force One, What Lies Beneath and The
6th Day

Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum will star in The Vow for director Michael Sucsy (Grey Gardens) and Spyglass.  The film tells the real-life story of a newlywed New Mexico couple,
played by McAdams and Tatum, who end up in a car crash. The wife is
put in a coma, where she is cared for by her devoted husband. When
she comes to, without any memory of her husband or their marriage,
the husband woos her and attempts to wins her heart again. 
McAdams has recently been seen in Sherlock Holmes, The Time Traveler’s Wife and State of Play.  She has Morning Glory, Midnight in Paris and Terence Malick’s untitled next project upcoming.  Meanwhile, Tatum was seen in last year’s G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra and Fighting.  He has several projects upcoming including The Eagle of the Ninth, Haywire, Cheaters and The Son of No One.
