Stephen King’s Pet Sematary Remake 2019

Pet Sematary

Stephen King’s Pet Sematary gets another look-in for a 2019 adaption of the seminal horror novel, originally published in 1983. A book I could never bring myself to finish. As a cat lover, this story always filled me with dread. I couldn’t even bear to watch the first film adaption from 1989 in its entirety. Some things never change as this official trailer for next year’s film makes clear. I can’t look…

Is it over yet? Anyway, this project took years to get off the ground. In the works since 2010, it’s had some team changes but now is in post production with a scheduled release date of April 5, 2019. Directed by Kevin Kölsch and Dennis Widmyer and written by Jeff Buhler and David Kajganich, this time around Pet Sematary stars Jason Clarke, Amy Seimetz, and John Lithgow. A major crew and cast. We have high hopes for this one, but sometimes, dead is better.
