Just yesterday in part four of his epic consideration of 2007’s release slate, Jeremy wondered aloud whether we’d see Richard Kelly’s Donnie Darko follow-up this year.

Turns out we will, on November 9.

According to Variety, Samuel Goldwyn is releasing the picture in conjunction with Destination Films and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions Group. That’s a tough week for the film. It’ll be sandwiched between American Gangster, Bee Movie and No Country For Old Men on one side, Beowulf on the other. It’s inevitable that any release for the film at this point will look more like a dump than anything else, but I suppose there are still worse weeks for it to bow.

No word on the running time of the November release, though that should be answered later this week when Kelly appears at Comic Con.
