The trailer for the sexy young lady thriller, The Roommate – which hits theaters the first week of February – has been floating around out there for a while, but I figure many of you may not have seen it yet. The film is essentially just an update of Single White Female for the Gossip Girl generation, starring Friday Night Lights‘s wildly attractive Minka Kelly in the Bridget Fonda role (amiable heroine), Gossip Girl‘s equally easy on the eyes Leighton Meester in the Jennifer Jason Leigh role (obsessive roommate who turns out to be dangerously crazy), and Twilight‘s Ken dollish Cam Gigandet in the Steven Webber role (heroine’s boyfriend who gets caught up in the craziness). With some Billy Zane thrown in for good measure.
The movie looks like steaming hot meh, especially considering its PG-13 rating, but I’d be lying through my teeth if I said this won’t likely find its way onto my Netflix queue. What? I like pretty ladies. Sue me.
