Richard Gere and Topher Grace are set for the spy thriller, The Double, for writer-director Michael Brandt and Hyde Park-Imagenation Abu Dhabi, says THR.com.  The film begins
with a murder of a senator in Washington by a Soviet assassin long
thought to be dead. A retired CIA operative (Gere), who spent his
career going toe to toe with his Soviet nemeses, is forced to
partner with a young FBI agent (Grace) to hunt the killer down. 
Brandt wrote the script with partner Derek Haas (Wanted, 3:10 To Yuma).  Hyde Park chairman Ashok Amritraj and executive vp production
Patrick Aiello will produce.  Production revs up in June.

Gere has several movies upcoming including reteaming with frequent director, Garry Marshall for State of the Union and also Henry and Me with Chazz Palminteri.  Grace will soon be seen in Predators and Young Americans in 2011 with Anna Faris.
