I was never all that impressed by King Tut’s mighty curse. It just sorta seemed to make people die at some hazy point in the future. Which is pretty much just life. It’s sorta like my power to make the leaves come off the trees in fall. I must admit that the mummy in Steven Sommers’ movies is quite a bit more deadly however. And though Van Helsing was a big sack of feces with a couple of Universal monsters thrown in, I am a big fan of Mr. Sommers. Mainly because of Deep Rising. God I love that movie! I’m a sucker for be-tentacled sea monsters and Famke Jansen, so you can understand my enthusiasm. Now if only someone would make Legend of the Deep Overfiend Rising with Famke I’d be set…
By the by, that’s not a gang sign the oh-so-cool vampire is making in the last panel. Or if it is, it’s a terribly unfortunate one.
