• http://chud.com/nextraimages/quickbites.jpgThey haven’t been in a movie together for 12 years, and now Mask co-stars Jim Carrey and Cameron Diaz are re-uniting in A Little Game Without Consequence, the next film from Gabriele Muccino (the Italian director of early Oscar buzzer The Pursuit of Happyness and L’Ultimo Bacio, which has been remade in next week’s Zach Braff film Last Kiss. The original, disappointingly, had nothing to do with Lord British). Carrey and Diaz will play a couple who break up, only to learn that their friends never liked them together in the first place. Via FilmJerk – we miss you in New York, Ed!

  • The trailer for Killshot, the new Elmore Leonard adaptation from John Madden, is finally here. Maybe Madden should spend more time on his movies and less on annual football video games. The movie has been, in Nick-speak, Delayed McJackson, but it’s finally coming on October 25th, and it’s bringing a great cast with it – Mickey Rourke, Diane Lane, Thomas Jane, Rosario Dawson, Joseph Gordon Levitt and Johnny Knoxville. Aint It Cool has the trailer right here.

  • Tomorrow is Dane Cook’s new HBO stand up special, Vicious Circle. I’m not a fan, especially after watching Tourgasm (which I ended up watching just because it was on after Entourage and Lucky Louie), but personal tastes drop to the background when you read this Salon piece, which has audio clips of jokes Cook lifted from Louis CK. Ouch.

  • Here’s one for the dumb rumor department: The One Ring, desperate for Lord of the Rings news, is reporting that a “spy” who at New Line for a meeting saw The Hobbit on their film schedule for July 2007. The thing is that this is just impossible, which means that people are coming up with all sorts of alternate theories, including one that says July 2007 is when the movie starts filming. Maybe if we all wish hard enough…
