http://chud.com/nextraimages/fogler.jpgBrooklyn home boy Dan Fogler is stepping into the ‘cock of a master – Alfred Hitchcock, that is. The film is Number Thirteen, and it’s a Hitchcockian thriller featuring Hitchcock himself as a murder suspect.

The concept is kind of cool – in real life Number Thirteen was a 1922 silent film by Hitchcock that was unfinished and since lost. In the film Hitch gets entangled in a love triangle on set, and then the lead actor turns up dead. The film’s editor suspects that Hitch dunnit, and he investigates to uncover the truth. I just hope it’s better than the equally good sounding but crushingly bad silent movie movie Shadow of the Vampire.

Fogler’s not well known – yet. He’s modestly known in New York City for his work in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Everybody else will have a chance to see the guy in two upcoming movies – School For Scoundrels and Balls of Fury.

The role of the editor hasn’t been cast yet, but word on the internets has Ewan McGregor interested.
