Richard Kelly (Donnie Darko, Southland Tales) just debuted the poster for his latest film over Twitter.

Besides the floating heads, not too shabby. I like how Langella looks like The Tall man.

Check the trailer if you haven’t already!

The film looks great as you can see, and part of that is because it’s based on a Richard Matheson story, Button, Button. It was recently reprinted in Button, Button: Uncanny Stories along with a whole slew of his excellent short stories. If you haven’t read anything by the man you’re truly missing out on one of the great authors of the 20th century.

The story was already adapted as an episode on the 1980s Twilight Zone. It’s interesting to note how the amount of cash given to the couple has changed over the years. It’s jumped from 50k in the story to 200k in the 1980s to a million now! Inflation!

The original story has a very different ending than the Twilight Zone ending, which Matheson hated, so it will be interesting to see where this one ends up. And who doesn’t want to see Frank Langella as the villain?
