You’ve all heard about how analysts are concerned that there are no marketable toys based on Pixar’s Up, right? Because no one wants action figures of an old man or a boy scout, and we all know that animated films without toy tie-ins suck! What would Toy Story have been without all those trillions of Buzz Lightyear toys behind it? Nothing, obviously.
Not that Up isn’t getting any tie-ins at all. There will be the usual action figures and books, and there’s a videogame on the way, whose Xbox 360 demo shows that it’s about on par with the rest of the Pixar game adaptations (read: it’s shit.) But perhaps the goofy characters in this clip will help for inspiration.
