While Mike Judge’s next film, Extract, is getting a release date that feels a bit like it’s being dumped, at least it’s getting a release date. And a title. And a poster. Remember how badly Fox fucked Idiocracy? It’s a wonder that Judge even made another movie.
The another movie, Extract, is another workplace comedy, although it seems to have little to do with the milieu of Office Space. According to IMDB:
Dean (Jason Bateman), the owner of a flower-extract plant, tries to contend
with myriad personal and professional problems, such as his potentially
unfaithful wife (Kristen Wiig) and employees who want to take advantage of him.
Ben Affleck is in this one, so I imagine that’s who Wiig is sleeping with (unless it’s JK Simmons, which would be awesome). The movie opens September 4th, not exactly a bastion of hit making.
