It’s been a solid 2 weeks since I’ve done a blog, but that’s not because I don’t have enough to say. On the contrary. I have quite a bit.

First off, I’m the proud owner of a brand new HP Laptop. Several weeks ago I found that my increasingly erratic 5 year old HP laptop was getting really hot when I would charge it. My friend Dannis who moonlights at a computer shop advised me to get rid of it quick and get another one. I was figuring it was about time that I get a new one, so I went to Office Depot and carefully selected a new one. Boy was I in for a surprise when I got it. A LOT has changed in 5 years. I’ve now got a web cam that I can use to upload videos to youtube, and I even started a Skype account and did a video call with my cousin who’s in California. Pretty damn neat stuff.

Windows 7 seems to be modeled after the Mac format, but it’s not that much of a difference, and I’m getting used to it. I’ve barely scratched the surface of this thing, and I know that there’s many more surprises in store for me.

The day after I set up my brand new laptop, and uploaded everything from my old one into it (iTunes, e-mails, etc.) I decided to finally start up a Facebook account. I’ve had a MySpace account since 2005, but I don’t use it all that much anymore. I mostly just check it, and don’t do much else. Facebook is definitely more fun. A nice little chat feature, and the wall is really cool. It’s a lot like Twitter, and I love using it. Just about all of my friends on there are from CHUD, and that’s just fabulous. I also thought it was pretty funny when my girlfriend sent me a notice where I had to confirm that we were in a relationship. Got a big laugh out of that one, and if you read my Facebook, you see our back and forth comments, and see how much of a funny broad she can be. I look forward to what else comes out of Facebook.

Thanks for reading my blog and see you next time!
