The Runaways, the musical biopic of the all-girl punk band of the same name, was filming around the corner from my house this week. It was a huge pain in the ass since they took over my block for their trailers and shit and we had to park our car elsewhere for the night. But I did get to see Kristen Stewart in her Joan Jett outfit, and she looked pretty great. I also saw the production logo, which unsurprisingly features a cherry (Cherry Bomb is probably the Runaways’ biggest hit).
A couple of weeks ago it was reported that Lita Ford, the lead guitarist in the band, would be portrayed by Alessandra Torresani, but now it turns out it’s Scout Taylor-Compton – Laurie Strode from Rob Zombie’s Halloween movies – will be delivering the licks.
