The second round of Microsoft-exclusive Fallout 3 DLC has been delayed a month. Originally scheduled to hit in February, The Pitt has now been pushed back to March.

To tide us over, Bethesda sent over these new screenshots that show off a little of what we can expect from the new content, and if nothing else you have to appreciate the change in locations that have been offered with the last few packs.

As you can tell, the DLC will open up an entirely new city- Pittsburgh.

The Pitt opens with a desperate radio message, and a meeting with its sender, an escaped slave named Wernher. Wernher claims that the leader of “The Pitt” has created a cure for mutations… and he needs you to go in and retrieve it. From there, the player can proceed in a number of ways, in true Fallout 3 style. Do you fight your way in, or disguise yourself as a slave? Ally with the slaves, or join their Raider overlords?  The Pitt is very morally ambiguous – there’s no real right or wrong, just choices to be made, sides to be chosen, and a mystery that could send shockwaves throughout the entire Wasteland.

The Pitt will also offer up new weapons, such as this AutoAxe. It looks like a friggin’ beast-

There will also be new perks and achievements. Operation Anchorage was a bit underwhelming (review) but still a lot of fun for Fallout fans, so let’s hope for even more with this. The last round of DLC is the eagerly anticipated Broken Steel, which has been pushed back a month as well.

We’ll let you know our impressions when we get our hands on it!
