PicA few months back there was an official picture posted of the money maker from AVP 2 in some head-to-phallic head action– some people thought it looked like turd, others (all one of you and me) thought it looked okay. Now there’s another batch of pictures thanks to Design Studio Express. The slick art/educational book publisher has nabbed rights to publish the "art of " book for ADI’s work on the upcoming Aliens vs. Predator sequel which, like a Christmas miracle, comes out this December.

The publisher has a peek at one of the pages from the upcoming book, which seems to reveal that the title has been changed from the redundant AVP2: Aliens vs. Predator 2 to AVP: Survivial of the Fittest, whose originality is genius!

The image is pretty small without any kind of higher res view that I could find, so peek away. The capture features what looks to be a Predator taking a stroll in the sewer, Predator giving an Alien a BFF piggy back ride, a Predator demasked and a larger pic of the increasingly less scary Alien-ready-to-strike shot. The larger Alien image doesn’t look like anything new, apparently inspired by the Cameron Aliens get-up, yet the smaller image seems to have the smooth-headed Giger Alien giving the Predator the prison welcome what-for.

From the looks of these small images, I’ll go on record as saying they look half decent, but then again, it’s "we make realistic-looking monsters from the 70s and 80s look rubber-iffic" ADI and the images are roughly the size of what this film will probably make in December, thanks to me and my unnatural affection for the two franchises.

All 128 pages of the book titled AVP: Survival of the Fittest: The Creature Effects of ADI, will ship in December.
