It’s good to be Liam Neeson. The man has enjoyed a major (and successful) left turn in cinema as an action star, when previously before he starred in Taken, his only action role was in Darkman. He’s 60 years old. My wife loves the guy (and Sly Stallone too), and every movie he’s done in the past few years has opened to great box office results.

Now he’s going to be teaming up with Julianne Moore (who he co-starred with in Chloe, a really underrated film I suggest you check out.) for an “airline thriller” called Non-Stop about a U.S. Marshal (Neeson, duh) who has to battle a “mysterious nemesis” who has been sending him IM messages that threatens the lives of the passengers on board the plane.

Liam Neeson is reteaming with Dark Castle (themselves a horror outfit who started out exclusively remaking William Castle films, then branching out into making “original” horror, and now have been doing a lot of action films.) and director Jaume Collet-Serra who he worked with on Unknown, one of my favorite films of last year that I unabashedly love, and I know a lot of others disliked, and he also directed the fun horror film that is Orphan. If you haven’t seen that one, then you don’t know what you’re missing out on.

The movie is set to start shooting in November, and let’s all look forward to Liam Neeson getting all Passenger 57 on this “mysterious nemesis.”
