Should I make a joke about how well Robert Rodriguez keeps his poker face? No, you are right. I really shouldn’t make a joke about that.

But sure enough, Rodriguez has had multiple surprises up his sleeve as the casting announcements have continued to roll out for Machete Kills. Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen had previously been announced with their own varying degrees of fanfare.

And today, Rodriguez tweeted the following:

“I just finished working with @LadyGaga on @MacheteKills, she kicked SO MUCH ASS! Holy Smokes. Blown away!”

He also attached a poster, which announces GaGa’s character name, La Chameleon.

What do you all think? Too much stunt casting going on? Or just the right level of crazy to make Machete 2 something dynamic and special? I myself kind of loved Machete and felt it was a bit of a return to form for Rodriguez. Machete was the most fun I’ve had with any of his films since probably Once Upon A Time In Mexico, and even that was mildly disappointing.

Let us know what you think!

And I’m Out.
