The hottest girl ever named after an animal rights group, La Femme Nikita star Peta Wilson, is going to be appearing in Bryan Singer’s Superman Returns in an unknown role.
The news broke like the wind on Peta’s own site, where the following cryptic blurb appeared:
"Peta will be in the new Superman Returns which is scheduled to be released in June 2006. Be sure to watch here for more news on her new role!"
What role could it be? Good question – you don’t bother hiring an action TV star to just play anybody in your movie. Is it possible that she will be playing Ursa in a flashback to Superman II?Singer has said that this new film is essentially a sequel to that, and that it will open with Superman in space for five years after killing the Kryptonian criminals (hey, John Byrne’s getting agitated about stealing his storyline!). While Singer is resurrecting Marlon Brando for a walk on as Jor-El, it wouldn’t make a lot of sense to show footage of the original Kryptonians in this film if new Superman Brandon Routh was going to interact with them.
That’s just a guess on my part, though. Maybe she’s playing Lana Lang or something else utterly boring!
