http://www.chud.com/nextraimages/creepydevin.jpgThis news item is mostly for those who have read the Harry Potter books – if you’re just following the movies you’ll find some pretty large spoilers to come. You’ve been warned.

Harry Potter villain Jason Isaacs recently talked to SciFi Wire about how glad he was to have more to do in the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, as opposed to Lucius Malfoy’s quick appearance in the fourth film. In doing so, he sheds some interesting light on how a couple of the bigger named British actors who populate and support the franchise look at their roles: “"I had virtually nothing to do in number four. In fact, when there’s nothing to do like that, and they say, ‘Do you want to come in for a couple of weeks?’ you go, ‘Well, I’m busy. Oh, God. All right.’ Because the thought that somebody else might wear my wig is just too painful.”

This time Isaacs gets to have a wand battle with Gary Oldman’s Sirius Black in the film’s climactic – and God, I hope amazing – massive battle. "We get to play around like two 10-year-olds. And with kind of unlimited sci-fi imagination. It’s fun. We just go, ‘Well, how about if I … .’ And anything you finish that sentence with, they go, ‘Yeah, OK. You can do that.’ So it was magnificent."

Isaacs also revealed that he finally got to meet JK Rowling recently, and he begged her to include more of Lucius in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. “"It didn’t do any good. I’m sure she doesn’t need plot ideas from me. But I made my point. We’ll see. Like everybody else, I’m holding my breath to July to see what’s in there.”

Wait… what’s he waiting to see? The movie, which comes out in July, or does he have info that the final novel will be coming out that same month, which makes a lot of sense?
