Proving that ideas can from from the least expected places, Knate Gwaltney, cameraman and frequent camera subject for Jackass, has just sold a script to Fox Searchlight, with Lorenzo di Bonaventura tipped to produce. Gwaltney’s project is titled Kidnap, is reportedly in the same vein as Taken and Breakdown, and centers on a woman whose son is kidnapped at a local mall and
embarks on a chase to save him. John Moore (Max Payne) is set to direct and exec produce.
Come to think of it, Gwaltney’s Jackass experiences could actually have positioned him nicely for this kind of work. After all, they did kidnap Brad Pitt in front of a crowd of people and of course there’s always this:
