Shane Black’s Iron Man 3 just brought production to Florida and already The Daily Mail has set pics. These aren’t as action-packed as those Thor 2 snapshots from a few weeks back, but it’s still surreal seeing the Iron Patriot (or Detroit Steel, or a variation of the two) on a movie set. In the comics the Patriot armor was worn by Norman Osborne, aka Green Goblin. Something tells me Black’s not going anywhere near that.
These shots also provide one of the best looks at Tony’s new Extremis armor yet. If Iron Man ever hits hard times he could make a killing at one of those Cash for Gold stores. Where you see aesthetic design changes, Tony Stark sees an investment in a secure future:
