Zombie western. That’s a horror amalgam genre fans have been anxiously awaiting, and it looks like we’re finally getting it with a flick called Wanted: Undead or Alive. Unfortunately, it stars spastic SNL graduate Chris Kattan.

But on the positive side, the Old West tale of the living dead will also feature delicious ethnic blend Navi Rawat as a vengeful Apache warrior who joins up with a pair of outlaws (Kattan and James Denton of Desperate Housewives). But while they’re trying to evade a posse and she’s seeking payback against the US Army for the murder of her people, they end up getting caught in the middle of an Apache curse that has brought the nearby dead to life.

The movie is being directed by Glasgow Phillips, and since I’ve never heard of it before today I can only assume it’s a straight-up horror movie and that Kattan will merely be on hand as the motormouth comic relief. Rawat, currently seen on Numb3rs, has previously appeared on countless Fox and WB shows including Angel, 24 and The O.C., and has one of the lead roles in Project Greenlight monster product Feast, which we might get to finally see some day.
