This
is a story that might actually impact a few of you personally:

A

major eBay seller of vintage horror posters has been nabbed by the FBI
for
selling fakes. And not just selling them – Georgia-based Kerry
Haggard
was making the fake posters as well. He sold posters for
classics
like Frankenstein
Meets the Wolf Man
, The Mummy and even the original Frankenstein.

He sold phony posters and lobby cards, and the FBI thinks he’s made up
to
one million dollars doing it.

If you’ve purchased a vintage horror
poster
on eBay you may want to double check its authenticity. And this
is a
good reminder to always be aware and vigilant when buying vintage
stuff,
especially online. But even in person – I’ve seen plenty of
people
at conventions trying to pass off obvious fakes as the real
thing.
