I caught Derrick Comedy’s Mystery Team at a midnight show at Sundance and laughed my balls off. You might expect a movie from a comedy group best known for their internet sketches to be disjointed, but Mystery Team is a really wonderfully cohesive comic experience. And the basic premise – a group of mystery-solving kids who never grew up – is just too good to pass up.
The film opens this fall and there’s a new trailer on YouTube. The movie will also be playing Thursday night at Comic Con. Make sure you check this one out!
