The Huffington Post just published new pictures of Jake Gyllenhaal in his Prince of Persia outfit, which the ladies will be pleased to note really isn’t much of an outfit.
I’d ask if any of you thought he looked Persian but I’m sure at least half of you are too busy drooling to answer.
The working title for the videogame adaptation is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, so the movie will probably will focus on the 2003 title, so that they can go into nifty slow motion shots as Gyllenhaal performs wallruns and hangs from flagpoles. He’s going to team up with a princess played by Gemma Arterton to stop some bad Persia ruler from unleashing a sandstorm upon the world. Sir Ben Kingsley and Alfred Molina also star in the 2010 release.
I’m actually deep into the new game and am enjoying it a helluva lot more than I expected. It’s like Assassin’s Creed without all the bullshit, and while it’s still repetitive the characters are actually compelling and the gameplay (while simple) is pretty refreshing.
