Forgive me if I’m a bit (man) enamored with Ryan Gosling at the moment, as I just recently witnessed him own his lead role in what might be my favorite film of the year (which CHUD will get you FL people into, BTW). He’s having a hell of a year, with another very fine-looking prestige flick on its way with him in a central role, this time alongside George Clooney in The Ideas of March.

Today there are two new pieces of material out there for the film, including a very dramatic new poster…

Which doubles up with the more evocative original one-sheet…

But there’s also a new look at the film (joining the first trailer), showing a lighter moment from the film with Gosling doing what he does best… be charming. I believe he could charm a chair into fucking a table, so this kind of scene must come easy for him. Here he’s caught the eye of Evan Rachel Wood who, far from being an easy target, actually has Gosling’s cornered in the clip. Take a look at the scene right here at Yahoo!

The film has its World Premiere at the Venice Film festival tomorrow, so I’m sure it won’t be long before we start hearing if this film is as good as it looks.

twitter, comments, boards — we always love hearing from CHUD pundits…
