The remake of Red Dawn is chugging right along with some breaking casting news. One time kiddie show star Josh Peck – possibly better known to some of you out there as the lead in The Wackness – has joined the cast, taking on the role originated by Charlie Sheen.
He’s being joined by Adrienne Palicki, from TV’s Friday Night Lights and the upcoming Legion (the set of which I visited a year ago… when is this movie coming out???); she’ll be taking on the Jennifer Grey role.
They’re joining man of the year Chris Hemsworth, the Patrick Swayze manque in this version. Hemsworth has Red Dawn, The Cabin in the Woods and the title role in Thor in his future, with a beloved appearance as Captain Kirk’s dad in Star Trek in his rearview.
