I keep having to check her birthday before writing things like that headline.  Anyway, Ellen Page is in talks to star in an adaptation of Cynthia Wade’s Oscar-winning short documentary, Freeheld, for Endgame Entertainment, says THR.com.  The pic will be based on the true story of New Jersey car mechanic
Stacie Andree, who’ll be played by Page, and her police detective
girlfriend Laurel Hester, who both battled to secure Hester’s
pension benefits after she was diagnosed with a terminal
illness.
Wade’s doc won the Documentary Short Oscar on the subject in 2008.  Ron Nyswaner (Philadelphia) is scripting.

Page was most recently seen in Drew Barrymore’s Whip It and will be appearing in Christopher Nolan’s Inception and James Gunn’s upcoming Super with Rainn Wilson, Liv Tyler and Kevin Bacon.
