Danger After Dark is coming back to Philly with programmer Travis Crawford back in effect, bringing you some fascinating genre films from around the world.

“It’s great to return to programming Danger After Dark, and finding new, innovative movements in genre filmmaking from around the world,” said Travis Crawford, Danger After Dark Programming Director. “Danger After Dark has — in my mind — always been about challenging and shocking audiences, and showing them films that they never would have the chance to see elsewhere.”

These are the guys that first brought us Suicide Club, High Tension and The Descent, so they know what they’re talking about. This year’s fest will feature ten films for ten days, each of which will have a screening at 10:00 PM at the Ritz Bourse in Philly. They missed out by not starting this fest on October 10th- it’s actually starting up on July 9th and running through the 19th.

Three films have been announced thus far-

Big Tits Zombie 3-D: “Japanese director Takao Nakano creates a wild girl-power zombie flick in 3D. Four bodacious strippers are pitted against the world’s undead in this exciting new action film about ‘Deadly DD Cups!'”

Dogtooth: “This Greek drama won the Prix Un Certain Regard Award at the 2009 Cannes Film Festival and tells the story of children who are shut off from the world who turn to their father and each other for sexual release.” (Devin just wrote about this film yesterday!)

Gone With the Pope: “Duke Mitchell created this film as a tribute to what Mean Streets and The Godfather could have been had they been made by those who inhabited that world. A mix of violence, sexual encounters and very un-PC humor makes this ex-con flick one to be enjoyed by any movie fan.”  Head to the official site for the full, extremely NSFW trailer.

Check out the Danger After Dark site for more details- the full schedule will go online next Friday June 18th.
