So Jenny dies of AIDS, right?

Spoiler!

Although, if you haven’t seen this film yet, fuck off, I don’t feel bad for ruining it for you in the slightest.

Back to the topic at hand. It seems the demise of Jenny is up for debate, as I was having a conversation earlier this evening and the topic came up, which led me on a lengthy rant about how it was even possible for the kid to be born without AIDS, let alone how the fuck Forrest banged her raw dog and got none of the nasty bits. Not possible. Seriously, it’s not like herpes, where you’re rolling the dice each go round, it’s fucking AIDS. You go rubber free, you die. Unless you’re Magic (which, amusingly, can be read one of two ways, both correct).

And the moral of the film? Kinda fucked.

It’s almost as if they settled on the title Forrest Gump after getting studio feedback that The Junkie Whore Gets It In The End: Jenny’s Story was deemed too racy for the marquee. Jenny is an abused child that flounders through life, follows her passions into interesting if not overly dangerous situations and finds her peace at the end. And because of her sins, she has to die. Because that’s what happens to whores. Junkie whores. Dirty, filthy, junkie whores. Effed up, to be sure.

Anyway, I don’t really know what the point of all this was, but I felt enraged enough to write about it. But while I’m at it, what do you think about Jenny’s death?

AIDS? Or no? And if it’s AIDS, how the fuck do the boys get away disease-free?
