star wars han solo harrison fordWe’ve known since the grand announcement of Disney acquisition of Lucasfilm that the Mouse House was going to be making a lot more Star Wars films. What was made clear at CinemaCon by Disney yesterday though, is that the company will actually be making –to use the parlance of our times– ALL of the Star Wars films.

Laying out a strategy that has gaps between main franchise films filled in by stand alone movies and their resulting side-franchises, Disney explicitly laid out the plot to have a new Star Wars film in theaters every year beginning in 2015.

Lucasfilm ostensibly just became a single-universe Pixar for Disney- a studio under the umbrella making their own very specific, annual thing that is likely to make beaucoup dough.

Though confirmed, the spin-off films are still vague ideas at this point, though you can bet on Yoda, Boba Fett, Han Solo, and perhaps the Seven Jedi idea to all be in play before the decade is out…
