Yesterday we announced that CHUD will be bringing you some great prizes and content in partnership with Wiseau Films, as The Room finds new life on the stage in less than two weeks. Tommy Wiseau and Greg Sestero will rejoin forces on the stage for a reading of The Room, which includes never before seen material and will take place at the AFI Silver Theater on Friday, June 10 at 7:00 pm and Saturday, June 11 at 5:00 pm.

A Chance To Appear In THE ROOM PLAY/READING alongside Tommy Wiseau and in front of an AFI Silver audience.
This grand prize will require a lucky Maryland/Washington D.C. chewer to be able to attend a rehearsal on June 9th, and the two readings on June 10th and 11th at the AFI Silver Theater in Silver Spring.
You’ll get a chance to meet the whole cast of The Room Play/Reading and then become a part of it as you are directed by Tommy Wiseau himself. As you’ll hear more about in my forthcoming interview with Tommy, he has big (read: Broadway) dreams for this play, so this will be your chance to stake out a place from the very beginning!
So how do you win these prizes? Very simple- all we want is a little audition.
Whether you’re shooting for the part in the play, or just a poster and a DVD, we still want to see your amazing faces. So here’s the deal:
1) Record yourself (via webcam, cellphone, DSLR, 35mm, or whatever else) taking on your favorite scene, moment, or bit of dialogue from The Room. Give us at least 20 seconds of greatness, but no more than a minute. Feel free to include friends, but only one person can win (unless you really impress my dick off).
2) Tweetvid the clip at me, email the file, or post the video on YouTube, Vimeo, whatever. Do whatever you have to do to get the video in front of your eyes. It’s preferred that you post the video to YouTube, so it can be easily embedded. Make the quality as high as possible, while still being reasonable about file-sizes.
3) Regardless of how you transmit the video, send me an email with your name, address, link to your video, and what prize you’re looking to win.
Now I know that some of you are ultra-shy or really are living in the stone age, and I don’t want to totally count you out. So if you can’t bring yourself or aren’t capable of submitting a video, you’ll need to send me an email with your name, address, the prize you’re after, and a good explanation of why you need to be at that reading, or get that DVD.
Take that as you will. I will be heavily favoring video submissions, but I’ll choose at least one winner from the emails- depending on the responses.
So get those cameras rolling and show us what you’ve got. Right now I’m planning on picking winners this coming Sunday night, but keep an eye on my twitter feed and the front page for updates about the contest.
