While NBC just gave him a ton of money to end his show and he spent almost every minute of the last two weeks absolutely ripping apart the network, it appears that Conan O’Brien isn’t too mad at them. After all, NBC has just picked up a currently untitled pilot from Conan’s production company Conaco.
The hour-long show is currently known as Justice, and is about an ex-Supreme Court justice who quits (because of a certain recent decision?) to start his own legal practice. The pilot was written by John Eisendrath, a former writer and producer for 90210, Alias, and many other shows. He’ll be executing producing alongside O’Brien, Jeff Ross and Conaco’s David Kissinger.
Part of his settlement stipulated his his NBC-based production company had to keep operating at NBC Universal till September, so this may be out of necessity rather than anything else.
