Despite a title that suggests seedier developments, the Coen Brothers’ Inside Llewyn Davis sounds very promising indeed, with the bros tackling New York’s budding folk scene in the sixties. The film stars Oscar Isaac as the titular Davis. He’ll be joined by Justin Timberlake and Carey Mulligan (pictured below) as peers of Davis. A fictional work, the film’s  loosely based on Dave Van Ronk’s posthumously published memoir The Mayor of MacDougal Street.

After a bidding war was predicated by last week’s screening, CBS Films has emerged with the domestic distribution rights. Press release is included below, though there’s no mention of a release date as this time.
