There are usually two thoughts that enter my head when I’m watching Night of the Demons–this film only works because it was made in the late eighties and wow, that pig snout costume is fucking iconic.
So now Shannon Elizabeth (Cursed, American Pie) is throwing a party as the demonic Angela and everyone is going to be there. Monica Keena (Freddy Vs. Jason, Entourage) and Diora Baird (Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) have already RSVP’d for the Night of the Demons remake, according to Shock Till You Drop.
The part of demonically possessed party hostess Angela is just one of many lucrative acting roles sure to come Elizabeth’s way after a strong showing on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars proved the actress could dance. You see, people didn’t know that she could dance and well, now that they do, the offers are about to start rolling in.
Director Adam Gierasch, who co-wrote the script with Jace Anderson, will have to make sure that today’s kids can relate to this Night of the Demons party. That puts him in charge of the black lights and smoke machine as well as making sure that the film’s soundtrack has a heavy Flo Rida presence. In fact, why not just have a rave. A futuristic rave! Gosh, remakes sure are fun.
Filming is set to begin this fall in New Orleans.
