Because I didn’t see I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry, I’ve been missing Steve Buscemi. After a few years where he was everywhere, it took his fun appearance on 30 Rock to make me wonder where the hell he’s been. Seemed like the tough 1-2 of re-teaming with DiCillo (Delirious) and starring/directing (Interview) took something out of him.

But he’s got a host of projects coming up (including voicing a role in G-Force) and he’s joined the cast of Youth In Revolt as well. While in my head Youth is Coppola’s DTV sequel to his last flick, the movie is actually based on C.D. Payne’s novel about Nick Twisp, who meets the girl of his dreams on a family vacation and destroys the trip trying to be with her. Michael Cera plays Nick and is adapting with Gustin Nash and Miguel Arteta, who is directing. Buscemi will play Nick’s father. Ray Liotta, Jean Smart and M. Emmet Walsh are in the cast as well. Dimension will release the flick, which is being shopped for foreign markets at Cannes right now.
