I have to assume a great many of you have already seen the 2-minute trailer for the Beastie Boys’ 22-minute short film, Fight For Your Right Revisted. If not, blamo!

The short was made in conjunction with their upcoming album Hot Sauce Committee Part 2, and features a monstrous cast of excellent actors and comedians such as Danny McBride, Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Jack Black, Susan Sarandon, Stanley Tucci, Rainn Wilson, Rashida Jones, Will Arnett, Ted Danson, Roman Coppola, Amy Poehler, Alicia Silverstone, Steve Buscemi, Jody Hill, Jason Schwartzman, Kirsten Dunst, Maya Rudolph, Orlando Bloom, Martin Starr, David Cross, Chloe Sevigny, Laura Dern, Milo Ventimiglia, Adam Scott, Mike Mills, Shannyn Sossamon, and Mary Steenburgen. That’s a pretty ridiculous star-per-minute ratio right there.

The full short premiered on TV last week, which went wholly unnoticed by me, as I watch all my TV on-line, like the hip 21st-century fella that I am. If you’re like me, then you have another chance to catch the full Fight For Your Right Revisited from the comfort of your ‘puter this Friday (29th) at 6pm (I have to assume Eastern USA time) on the websites for MTV2, mtvU, VH1, Palladia, Comedy Central, MTV and Spike. Then this will be followed by another TV airing at 12am, Saturday, on MTV, Spike and MTV Tr3 — wait, MTV Tr3? What the fuck is that? Man, I’m starting to get old.

Alas, these will all be censored versions. Comedy Central aired an “explicit” version last week, buried at 3am time slot. Hopefully that version will become available when the album drops on May 3rd.

UPDATE: Thanks to commenter Snixy for giving the heads up about the short’s current presence on Hulu. If you live in the U.S. of America, ignore all the bullshit above and watch it now!
