A German reader sent Ain’t It Cool some info gleaned from the latest issue of Kraut GQ, most specifically that Jude Law and Robert DeNiro have been cast in Thor. Can this be true?
The info comes from actor Matthias Schweighöfer, who has also been cast in the film. But is he right about DeNiro and Law? Bobby D almost makes some sense, as director Kenneth Branagh worked with him on Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein, but what role could he be playing? He would make a good Hogun the Grim, a member of the Warriors Three, a trio of Asgardian adventurers. And actually, Law would make a great Fandral the Dashing. All Branagh would need was a big fat guy to play Volstagg the Valiant.
Of course that’s just speculation based on the babblings of an actor, never the most trustworthy source. We should be finding out lots more about Thor in the coming weeks and months.
