Here’s the second character poster for Hellboy II: The Golden Army, coming to theaters next year. Universal will be debuting more in the coming days, including Big Red himself tomorrow and new character Johann sometime in December.
Abe Sapien gets a much bigger role in this sequel, and even has a love story of his own. And this time veteran and fan favorite suit performer Doug Jones will be doing Abe’s voice himself. While visiting the set in Budapest this fall Guillermo showed me some cut together footage that included Abe being heroic, and I think Doug does a fantastic job as not just the body but the voice of Abe. I’m looking forward to seeing his whole performance.
