I’ve always looked at light switches as a really low stakes case of Russian Roulette. Take a chance and hope for the best. Either you see shit or it stays dark, or vice versa. The concept of opposite has never been more palpable or symbolic as those moments where you’re standing at a switch unsure of how to proceed to reach the desired effect. Sometimes it’s bright and you want dark. HOW TO PROCEED?
Once, it was dark and I craved some light. I found the switch, but where to go from there?
